Lovely Las Vegas, with a population of over 2,700,000 people. This number making it the 24th most populated city in the world, I mean come on, with a slogan of "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas," who wouldn't want to live there. With all of these people, you wonder what they are doing and where they are working. Yes, you guessed it, many are working right there in the casinos. The two biggest corporations being MGM Resorts, and Caesar's Entertainment. How big are these multi-billion dollar corporations you ask? Well, below are the two competitors and what each one offers including which hotels each corporation owns, it's a real eye-opener.

MGM Resorts Entertainment offers a great amount of attractions, as seen above. Whether it being their fine dining, amazing shows, or even state of the art rooms. They make it seem like they have it all, this is what attracts the guests and keeps them coming, it's a sure thing and a great deal. This video is just a short peek of everything they have to offer, MGM leaves the blanks to fill for the guests. The youtube clip reels the customers/guests in to get a taste.

Below is just another example of an advertising technique to bring in more guests and profit. This site is to reserve tickets for the Michael Jordan Celebrity Golf Tournament that is presented by an MGM Resort Casino, being Aria. Businesses are aloud to sponsor and purchase tickets, it also offers military and senior discounts. Packages include room and board, and also access to this special event, aka the best of both worlds.

YES! MGM Resorts International Inc also has a FACEBOOK page. On this link lists their resorts and also awards they have one, downside is that there is only 403 likes, meaning not that many followers. Seeing that low of a number, they should want to change what they are doing on Facebook and get there name advertised more to get for likes and followers.

Harrah”s Entertainment, Inc. was renamed as Caesars Entertainment Corporation In 2010 and Harrah’s became one of the main brands of the company. Caesars Entertainment owns or operates 52 casinos in the United States and overseas, making them one of the largest casino operators. The casinos owned by Caesars Entertainment in Las Vegas, Nevada that contributed to their $8.8 billion revenue in 2010 included the following; Bally's, Bills, Caesars Palace, Flamingo, Harrah's, Imperial Palace, Oshea's, Planet Hollywood, Paris, and Rio.

With a variety of different Hotels, finding a room at one is easy. Caesars Inc advertises this as "compare 8 vegas hotels." What this means is simply putting in your date of arrival/departure, followed by given a variety of the cheapest rooms available at that time (which could be as low as $39 a night as some of their properties), making your stay even easier. When on Caesars homepage, you click the red link as shown above, the rest is up to you. Don't miss out.

Caesars next advertisement that is in their arsenal of many is as shown above, NO RESORT FEES. After clicking on the, learn more link you are taken to a page that lists your savings, thats right, your SAVINGS!!! Something that we all want. "Get more Vegas, Stay with us," Caesars motto. This advertisement states that you as a guest, save $20 a day by choosing a Caesars property which totals to $140 in week, $100,000 in total hotelYes, extra gambling money!!

FOOD, a great way to get peoples attention, and a great way to advertise. The following link, BUFFET OF BUFFETS , is Caesars Entertainment way of showing what unbelievable deals they offer that you can't find anywhere else. By clicking on the Buffet of Buffets link above, you are taken to Caesars page for this, here you will find an unreal deal of six buffets for a low price of $44.99. From Penn and Teller, to Celine Dion, Elton John, Anthony Cools, or even a dueling piano bar. Caesars has such a variety to fit a variety of needs, a great marketing tactic. The more the variety= the more the people.

Caesars Entertainment on FACEBOOK (click)
This facebook page lists the history of Caesars, also it shows how many followers. This number being at 1,424 "likes" 172,323 people "liking" the actual facebook page for Caesars Palace. This # being wayyy more than that for MGM. So all in all who wins? My thought, CAESARS ENTERTAINMENT

With Marketing grader used on these two competitors homepages, you can see that MGM Resorts does a better job in the top and middle funnel. Top of the Funnel meaning they have more unique and interest content on there pages. The middle of the Funnel mainly deals with converting traffic and conversion forms, which MGM resorts also wins this by an account of 33%-17%. Caesars homepage got a marketing grade of 65 out of 100, incase you couldn't guess if this is good or not, it isn't. What is good news though is that there are over 11,000 followers on Twitter and that Caesars facebook business fan page has 17,478 fans, a pretty good number. All in all Caesars need to work on beefing up there homepage to get these scores up.
